System Administrator

Position: System Administrator
Location: Pune
Komli needs an experienced Linux system administrators to help administer our cluster of ad-servers, our internal server infrastructure and hardware peripherals. The ideal candidate has the ability to handle interrupts, abilitiy to prioritize, and ability to switch between several projects.Responsibilities:
- Configuration of Linux system and network parameters
- Monitoring of Linux system stability and performance
- Ensuring 24x7 operation
- Installation of software on local and remote servers (Red Hat)
- Monitoring the disk space on our cluster
- Taking backup on local servers
- Debugging local hardware issues, such as printer, scanner etc.
- Rapid scaling of Linux systems to meet demand
- Comprehensive documentation of our Linux systems and processes
- BS/MS/BCS/MCS/BCS/MCA in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of work experience in Linux system administration
- In depth technical experience with large Unix / Linux systems
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and load balancing
- Knowledge of webservers, firewalls/security, NFS, DNS, MTAs.
- Programming/scripting ability (Python, Perl, bash, C) will be an added advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
