System Administrator

Position: System Administrator

Location: Mumbai

Komli needs an experienced Linux system administrators to help monitor and administer our live production systems. The ideal candidate has the ability to handle interrupts, abilitiy to prioritize, and ability to switch between several projects.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring of Linux system stability and performance (disk, CPU usage, etc)
• Taking data backups through manual and automated scripts.
• Performing recovery in cases of database or system outages.
• Ensuring processes are well documented
• Configuring alerts to ensure 24x7 operation of hardware and software services
• Maintaining our Intranet, bug tracking system & code repository
• Setting up security policies through VPN & LDAP
• Maintain ongoing build and release processes
• Setting up internal services like samba and smtp demons

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of work experience in Linux system monitoring & administration
• In depth technical experience with large Unix / Linux systems
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and load balancing
• Knowledge of webservers (apache & tomcat), firewalls/security, NFS, DNS, MTAs and MySQL
• Programming/scripting ability (JAVA, bash, C) will be an added advantage
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
