Komli Launches Behavioral Targeting on its Premium Network Offering the Widest Reach to Indian Advertisers


July 17, 2007 - Leading Indian ad network company Komli Media today announced that it is the first Indian ad network to offer behavioral targeting capabilities to its customers. Komli, which started offering retargeting capabilities late last year, is aggressively introducing new features to offer greater value to its advertisers and publishers. Behavioral targeting goes beyond contextual and content-category targeting to track users anonymously. Advertisers can then serve ads to the desired user profiles, interests, or demographics. In a market like India where there is little reliable data available on profiles of site users, behavioral targeting is a powerful tool to close the gap between an advertiser’s desired user profile and actually targeting that profile," added Amar Goel.

For example, a travel bookings portal that would traditionally advertise only on travel and business sites can expand its advertising reach and accuracy significantly by utilizing Komli’s behavioral targeting solution to track users visiting travel sites initially and then targeting them with its advertisements across Komli’s ad network, regardless of the type of site the user visits. This not only opens up a completely new vista for display advertising but also offers advertisers the benefit of higher ROI on their advertising spend.
