Komli Media hires Country Lead in the Philippines
Samir Ahmed moves from UPFRONT Media
Regional, July 24, 2012: Komli Media, Asia Pacific's leading media technology platform, today announced it has appointed Samir Ahmed as its Sales Director and Country Lead - Philippines. Ahmed joins Komli at a time of growth and expansion in the region, he will be reporting to Mathew Ward, Chief Revenue Officer – Komli SEA.
“The Philippines is an important market for our business, we are very excited to have an experienced and talented manager like Samir lead our team in this high growth market. Samir will be a superb addition to our regional leadership.” Ward said.
In this role Samir will be responsible for managing the company’s wide portfolio of digital advertising solutions in display, social, video and mobile in the Philippines. Samir joins Komli from UPFRONT Media where he gathered extensive experience working with a variety of blue-chip clients. Samir brings a solid background to the position, he’s held several positions at digital media organizations in the US, including Vibrant Media and Tremor Media (formerly ScanScout), while having started his career at FCBi (now Draft FCB) in New York.
Samir said, “It is a really pivotal time to join Komli, one of the few companies providing an integrated platform solution for the Philippines market. Komli is set to be a key strategic player in the Philippines digital space with our strong suite of products in a market at the tipping point, where sizeable media spends are being shifted to online.” He added that his experience in the Philippines makes him a good fit for the role where he has worked with established digital brands including PepsiCo, Aviva, Audi, Dole, Emperador Distillers, Grant Thornton and Nestle.
